3 · Your first draft

Hi Daniel, I saw your note in the Growth Summit chat about hiring being the hardest part of scaling this year. Since you mentioned being behind on it, I pulled together a one-page checklist we use when we hire fast. Would you like me to send it over?
ShorterMore conversationalMore professional

You edit it, copy it, and send it yourself.

Example with a fictional attendee.

What usually happens after a good online event?

You meet people worth knowing. Someone shares a LinkedIn profile, says they want to connect, or mentions a problem you could help with. You save the chat. Then you get busy.

A few days later, you have to figure out who they were, what they said, why you wanted to contact them, and how to reach them. Eventually the chat becomes another file you saved but never really used.

The problem isn't that the information is missing. It's that the value is buried.

What the research says

85.7%

of participants in a Microsoft Research study said meeting chat was a net positive, but many also said it was distracting and hard to keep up with during the meeting. Useful names, links, and questions get buried.

More welcome than you think

In a series of experiments, people consistently underestimated how much others appreciate being reached out to, especially when the message is a pleasant surprise or comes from someone they haven't spoken with in a while.

Old contacts are worth reviving

Researchers found that reconnecting with people you have lost touch with can be as valuable as consulting the people you talk to regularly.

You may not need more leads.
You may need to revisit the people you already met.

Not every name is a lead. Chat Navigator helps you decide who actually deserves another conversation, and find those people again while the context of the conversation is still available.

After the meeting, you really need four answers

Chat Navigator keeps the person and the conversation together.

WHO

Who should I follow up with?

See everyone who participated and review what each person actually contributed to the conversation.

WHY

Why did I want to contact them?

Keep the context of what they said instead of trying to reconstruct the conversation several days later.

HOW

How do I reach them?

Find the email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, websites, and other links people shared in the chat.

WHAT

What do I say?

Create a personalized follow-up message based on the actual conversation rather than starting from a blank page.

A contact without context is just another name.

An attendee list may tell you who was there. A business card may tell you how to reach someone.

Neither tells you what they asked, what they were interested in, what problem they mentioned, what they offered, or why you wanted to reconnect.

Use the context, not just the contact.

From saved chat to follow-up in a few simple steps

Could you do all of this yourself? Absolutely. It just takes the time most people never get back to. Chat Navigator turns it into one organized workflow.

1

Add your chat

Upload a Zoom chat (.txt), a Teams chat (.json), or a CSV of contacts, or paste in a list.

2

See the people

Everyone who took part is listed with what they shared. Nothing to tag by hand.

3

Find the signals

Ask in plain language, like "who mentioned needing more leads," and see the exact messages that matched.

4

Choose who matters

Move the people worth reconnecting with onto your follow-up list. Add notes and a priority if you like.

5

Create the message

Draft an email, LinkedIn message, or text from what they actually said. You edit it and send it yourself.

No integrations to set up and no CRM to manage. Upload a file and you're working.

If you have ever left an event thinking that, this is for you.

Chat Navigator is not another meeting recorder

It doesn't record your meeting. It doesn't sit in the meeting with you. It works with the conversation you already saved.

And it isn't meant to replace your CRM.

Its job is simpler: turn the people and conversations from an online event into organized follow-up.

Common questions

What can I upload?

Saved Zoom chat exports (.txt), Microsoft Teams chat exports (.json), a CSV of contacts from a form, event platform, or CRM, or a list of leads pasted straight from an email or doc. Teams doesn't have a built-in export button, so a Teams chat takes one extra step first, using a browser extension or Teams Free's own data export; the user guide inside Chat Navigator walks you through it.

Does it send messages for me?

No. Chat Navigator never sends anything. It drafts a message from what the person said, and you copy it, edit it, and send it yourself from your own email, LinkedIn, or phone.

Does it record my meeting?

No. It doesn't join or record meetings. It works with the chat you have already saved.

Is it a CRM?

No, and it isn't meant to replace yours. It helps you decide who deserves a follow-up and what to say, then keeps track of who you have already reached.

Does it generate follow-up messages for me?

Yes. Once someone is on your follow-up list, generate an email, LinkedIn message, or text draft from what they said in the chat. Edit it, regenerate it, or adjust the tone before you send anything.

Can I come back to a chat later?

Yes. Every chat you upload stays saved, with your notes, tags, and follow-up progress exactly as you left them.

Do I need a complicated setup?

No integrations, no configuration. Upload a chat file and you're working with it immediately.

What happens after the free trial?

Try it free for 5 days on your own chats. After the trial it's $17 a month or $170 a year, and you can cancel anytime.

What is the founding lifetime offer?

For a limited time, you can skip the subscription: pay $299 once and keep Chat Navigator with no monthly or yearly renewals. It is a founding-member offer, it stays open until we take it down, and it does not include a free trial. It covers Chat Navigator as it works today. Separate premium add-ons, if we release them, are not part of it. After the offer closes, Chat Navigator is $17 a month or $170 a year.
